Strength has no gender

Yolanda calls herself a warrior because she’s a strong woman. She has always been empowered and motivated by her mother, her most important mentor. Yolanda believes women rock; with their strong determination, they can move mountains!

Yolanda is an extrusion operator in our Customer Solution Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is a person for whom there are no barriers and obstacles she cannot overcome.

Yolanda started her journey in quality control at Megadyne’s manufacturing site. Then she moved from quality control to belt cleaning and learnt how to cut chamberlain belts. Finally, she started her extrusion operator job, which is a position usually held by men. Being an extrusion operator is a demanding job. However, for Yolanda, facing new challenges is always exciting, and she firmly believes you don’t need to be a man to succeed!

Yolanda enjoys photography, reading, and journaling. She is passionate about cooking. She grew up on a farm in South Carolina, where she learnt a lot about raising her gardens and animals. At her family home, she was taught her thriftiness and resourcefulness, the abilities she now willingly passes on to younger generations.
