Michael Wilhelmer was appointed President – Region APAC and Product Line Conveyor Belting of the AMMEGA Group on June 1, 2025. Previously, he was President – Business Area Conveyor Belting. Since 2019, he is a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Michael has over 10 years’ experience in procurement and operations. He has also been the Chief Operating Officer for the AMMEGA Group, and before that, Michael held other key roles for the AMMEGA Group, including Business Unit Director for Synthetic Conveyors from May 2018.
Michael joined Ammeraal Beltech in 2016 as Chief Procurement Officer to help build the global procurement organisation and set up the strategy for CSR and global reporting. He took up this position after leaving ArcelorMittal Group, where he had held various management roles in the UK and in CIS countries, the last of which was as Chief Procurement Officer of ArcelorMittal Ukraine.
Michael holds an EMBA degree from the London Business School in London, England, and is a Chartered Management Accountant.
