Strengthening the ties with the Chinese team

In April 2023, Maciej Gwóźdź, CEO of AMMEGA, accompanied by Kebao Yang, President of the APAC Region, embarked on a week-long trip to visit all AMMEGA locations in China. It was the first visit after the pandemic and a welcome opportunity to strengthen ties with the team of over six hundred employees in China.

CEO visited AMMEGA’s locations in Foshan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Suzhou, and Shanghai. Town hall meetings were held with the local teams during each stop. Maciej Gwóźdź emphasised the importance of safety, social responsibility, operational and commercial excellence, and company values. He addressed all employee questions and had Gemba walks through the local offices and facilities.

At AMMEGA, we understand that meeting our teams allows us to understand employees’ expectations and needs better. We believe this can only increase our company’s engagement, motivation, and satisfaction among team members. By actively listening and engaging in dialogue, we gain insights into improving the work environment, employee satisfaction, and overall organisational culture.

Our executives’ visits are one of our many initiatives to maintain dialogue with our employees. The major one is the annual OHI survey, which will be conducted globally within AMMEGA in May for the second time. Last year, we achieved an impressive 85% response rate and used the results to implement many improvements to develop our organisation and create an even better workplace for our employees.

China is an essential cluster for APAC manufacturing of power transmission and conveyor belts. With a wide range of manufacturing capacities and customer solution centres, AMMEGA China is an important market player delivering our solutions to various industries in China and other countries in the APAC region.
